Massage Therapy in Taos, New Mexico, with Megan Yankee, LMT

Excited to share that I’ve begun training in best practices for massage therapy with cancer survivors. I’m so grateful to Taos Health Systems Inc. Holy Cross Hospital and their Taos Cancer Support program for inviting me in to this powerful work.

I recently completed 27 hours of training and certification in Marma Therapy for Energy Healing provided by Kerala Academy.
Key Takeaways:
I have so much gratitude for Ayurvedic doctors and culture-bearers for retraining, nurturing and sharing their medicinal knowledge with the world.
I learned how to support client’s pain management needs with a lighter touch and placement according to the marma system.
I can further describe my specialty: acupressure and oleation massage therapies informed by native, traditional medicines (including Curanderismo, Ayurveda, and Traditional Chinese Medicine)
Blessings!
Celebrating my new certification through SafeSport International!
I’ve faced countless barriers when attempting to share my experiences with abuse as an athlete-performer in the drum & bugle corps activity twenty years ago.
This certification, and those that will follow, will help me as a begin the application process to be a volunteer with SafeSport International. I aim to contribute to their years of progress in making all sports safer for all young athletes and performers.
