    Interviewed on Equitable Wellness

I’m very proud to share this interview about my work facilitated by mi gran amiga, Shayna Grajo in The Equitable Wellness Podcast.

Shayna and I have always fostered a shared vision of wit, generosity, warmth, and equity based on the simple fact that we were trained by a great marching band and colorguard teacher in our youth, Randy Phillips. We have both been drawn to careers in the arts and wellness for decades now so I’m proud to present this powerful content to those seeking:

    • massage therapy that accommodates the unique needs of equity-deserving populations
    • greater understanding of the values and lived experiences a mixed-race massage therapist can leverage for an equitable practice
    • examples of hurt-people healing people, rather than perpetuating cycles of harm

    Enjoy!

    Taos News PATHWAYS

Thank you Taos News for featuring Susan, Madelaine and myself in your latest PATHWAYS to Success article.

I’m proud to be a graduate of the The University of New Mexico-Taos (UNM-Taos) certificate program for Integrative Massage Therapy. It wouldn’t have been possible without my year of volunteering at the UNM-Taos HIVE 🐝via AmeriCorps VISTA.

Because of the confluence of these community programs, I have been able to launch Nepantla Bodyworks & Massage Therapy and support rural clients during their healing journeys through pain and trauma. A dream come true!

I’m thrilled to share this photo by Jake Holschuh! We worked together on the photo shoot for The Living Spa at El Monte Sagrado/Heritage Companies that was featured in the February 2024 issue of Denver Life Magazine.

At The Living Spa, I offer 30, 60, 90, and 120 minute massage therapy sessions alongside a vast array of indulgent enhancements. These include hand, foot, scalp, and facial enhancements; extended scalp and facial treatments; pain-relieving CBD and arnica; as well as a moisture drench and aromatherapy sinus enhancements for relief from the high desert climate. AND we offer special rates for Taos locals.

I also offer appointments at Taos Spa & Tennis Club and my very own Nepantla Bodyworks in Taos, NM. All sessions are consent-driven, trauma-informed, culturally-responsive, as well as all-ability and 2SLGBTQIA-friendly.

Editor’s note as of 2026: Since the original publshing of this post, Megan no longer offers services at the two spas mentioned, though she is eternally grateful for the experience and connections made!
