    Dan R. Barrow Memorial Scholarship

I’m super stoked to announce I was just awarded the Dan R. Barrow Memorial Scholarship by the American Massage Therapy Association – AMTA, New Mexico Chapter. Thank you to the scholarship team for this powerful award that honors and uplifts volunteerism. As a professional volunteer, that’s kinda my jam. 🙂

This scholarship honors longtime AMTA-NM member and past president, Dan R. Barrow, for his service to AMTA as a volunteer at both the chapter and national levels. As a renowned neuromuscular therapist and instructor and member of the NM Massage Therapy Licensing Board, Dan elevated and enhanced our profession with his heart and his touch.

I plan to leverage this award to begin training with Bethany Bundy, owner of Windgate Healing Arts in Los Alamos, in modalities new to me including Lomi Lomi and Thai Massage!

I’m happy to share that I’ve been selected as the volunteer Online Elections Coordinator with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) New Mexico Chapter. Can’t wait to get started supporting my national and regional professional orgs!

  • Tapla Community Market

I’m thrilled to share that I just began offering DONATION ONLY chair massage at the Talpa Community Market on Friday mornings.

Here I am assessing and working one of my favorite acupoints for shoulder stiffness. It’s actually in the crease of the elbow and called “pool at the crook” in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The organizers and fellow vendors are such kind, generous people. I’m so lucky they let me join them!
