I served 56 Northern New Mexican veterans in nearly 350 appointments in my first year of practice with them.
Calling it an honor doesn’t do my sentiments justice. Instead, I’m building on what I’ve learned:
In May, I’ll be leading an in-person weekend workshop at The University of New Mexico-Taos (UNM-Taos) on how LMTs, community members (and even veterans-themselves) can contribute positively to the network of care for veterans. More info coming soon.

Joining the faculty at UNM-Taos
I am so honored to have joined this faculty at the University of New Mexico-Taos (UNM-Taos) in the Integrative Massage Therapy program, two of whom were significant figures in my transition from my dance career to massage therapy. Thank you Susan and Tony!

Education Equity Mini-Fellowship
I’m excited to share that I was just accepted to the 2025-2026 Educational Equity Mini-Fellowship, offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the University of New Mexico (Universidad de Nuevo México) Academic Affairs.
“This initiative seeks to involve UNM faculty and Graduate Student Instructors in professional development opportunities that focus upon evidence-based strategies for equity in higher education and facilitates an opportunity to implement strategies and receive rapid feedback on that implementation. Our goal is to support UNM faculty and programs in framing equity as central to their success as educators.“
I’m honored and excited to get started! Thanks UNM and GO LOBOS!

Taos News PATHWAYS
Thank you Taos News for featuring Susan, Madelaine and myself in your latest PATHWAYS to Success article.
I’m proud to be a graduate of the The University of New Mexico-Taos (UNM-Taos) certificate program for Integrative Massage Therapy. It wouldn’t have been possible without my year of volunteering at the UNM-Taos HIVE 🐝via AmeriCorps VISTA.
Because of the confluence of these community programs, I have been able to launch Nepantla Bodyworks & Massage Therapy and support rural clients during their healing journeys through pain and trauma. A dream come true!Link to news article here:
