I served 56 Northern New Mexican veterans in nearly 350 appointments in my first year of practice with them.
Calling it an honor doesn’t do my sentiments justice. Instead, I’m building on what I’ve learned:
In May, I’ll be leading an in-person weekend workshop at The University of New Mexico-Taos (UNM-Taos) on how LMTs, community members (and even veterans-themselves) can contribute positively to the network of care for veterans. More info coming soon.

Working with veterans is an honor
Working with veterans is an honor. And apparently, very rare. I hope to be training more therapists in my area soon so they can close the access gap in rural Northern New Mexico.
Getting credentialed to provide massage therapy to veterans through the VA was the best decision I ever made.
